To do a quick search of the library catalog, just type a word or words in the Quick Library Search box and click GO.
The online library catalog consists of thousands of records. Each record represents one item, such as a book. Within each record, separate fields contain specific information about the item, such as the title, author, and subject.
If you type one search word, Polaris searches the fields in the library records for the word you typed.
If you type more than one word, Polaris searches for the words in any order. If you want to find the words in order, enclose them in quotation marks.
Your search results are displayed as a list of titles from the library catalog.
Polaris PowerPAC provides other search methods and options for refining your searches. You can also search resources beyond the library catalog. Click Search on the toolbar to explore these options.
